Caesarstone Kitchen of the Year Episode 2
Every week a kitchen finalist is featured, viewers can enter Caesarstone’s KitchenAid giveaway, where one lucky viewer will win a KitchenAid mixer and accessories worth R20,000 – every week!
Caesarstone has released the second episode of the Caesarstone Kitchen of the Year competition insert series on The Home Channel.
While episode 1 covered the first round of judging with celebrity chef Reuben Riffel; Bradley van den Berg of Cardova Productions; Elle Decoration’s editor, Bielle Bellingham; former competition winner Beth Haynes and Caesarstone International’s head of product design, Mor Krisher; episode 2 covers the first finalist kitchen design.
In the series’ second episode, presenters Lisa Aspeling and Howard Fyvie embark on a road trip around the country with their first stop in Constantia, Cape Town, to visit Natalie and Albert Wessels and their kitchen designer Tamara Karsten of Spotlight Kitchens. Natalie and Tamara give viewers a tour of the kitchen, explaining the renovation process and the design choices around their new kitchen.
Featuring Caesarstone Frosty Carrina, the Wessels kitchen is a modern take on a traditional design, with
special attention given to the large kitchen island and oak fittings. The Wessels wanted a kitchen that would be family-friendly – a place where their children would feel comfortable spending time and where cooking would be a pleasure.
Caesarstone South Africa’s marketing director, Trevor King, says, “We are delighted that a more traditional kitchen design was selected as a finalist, because this style represents the tastes of so many South African homeowners.”
The 8 finalist kitchens will undergo a second round of judging in the final episode of the series, where the top 3 kitchen designs will be selected. These top 3 finalists will each receive a KitchenAid hamper, with the winning designer and homeowner walking away with R50,000 each.
