We produce surfaces that are incredibly durable and nonporous, so they’re virtually maintenance-free. For daily routine care, just follow the simple tips below to benefit from timeless performance and appearance.

Keep your surface safe

  • Simple Cleaning

    A splash of warm soapy water will do (avoid plant oil soaps).

  • Removing Stains

    Gently rub with an approved cleaner and rinse.

  • Cleaning Products

    Use your regular home cleaning products.

  • Preventing Patina

    Wipe away any liquid spills and splashes, to keep your surface dry always.

  • Caring for Dark Surfaces

    Patina and stains may be more noticeable. Cream-coloured cleaning products are not recommended.

  • Avoiding Scratches

    Always use a cutting board and clear away sharp objects.

  • Chemicals

    Prolonged exposure may damage the surface. Chemicals with high or low pH levels should be used with caution.

  • Intact surface

    Avoid hard knocks on exposed areas, particularly on edges.

Step-by-Step Care

  1. Wipe the surface with a soft cloth or a non-abrasive scourer dipped in warm water with a mild detergent. Rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

  2. Always wipe up wet spills to prevent a patina from forming.

  3. Check each cleaning product on an inconspicuous area to ensure that it doesn’t damage the surface. Patina’s build-up may look like a light-coloured stain.

  4. Honed and Ultra Rough finishes are more prone to metal marks, fingerprints, and other signs of daily use, which can easily be removed with non-abrasive cleaning products such as CIF cream or Cilit Bang Bleach & Hygiene. Do not polish the surface with a polishing machine.

  1. Gently rub the area using a soft cloth or paper towel with an approved cleaner.

  2. Clean a larger area in a circular motion than the stain

  3. Rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth or paper towel.

  4. Repeat this process if the stain is still visible.

  1. Dried spills and stains should be reanimated with water for several minutes before attempting recommended cleaning methods.

Do not use hydrofluoric acid or materials containing it.

Avoid products containing oils as they may leave a residue. You should rinse all products thoroughly.

If the surface comes into contact with any products that might damage it, rinse immediately with plenty of water.

Which cleaning products are suitable for porcelain?

Your surface is engineered to be highly nonporous; as such, it is non-absorbent and does not host bacteria, mould, or mildew. As a result, it remains safe and fresh for ultimate cleanliness. 

Use your regular home cleaning products and check the product first by applying it to an inconspicuous area on the surface. It’s best to avoid using the same cloth you use for washing dishes, as it may transfer oils and other contaminants to your surface.
