Caesarstone once again took top honours at Decorex Cape Town in April after also winning the top accolades for their stand designs at Johannesburg Homemakers in February and Decorex Durban in March. With a strong history of excellence in expo stand design, Caesarstone has won close to 30 awards over the years.

“I think that we have success because we approach our stand design from the point of view that people want to be entertained. We find ways of entertaining people to draw them to our product – we’re not there to only communicate technical product information,” says Caesarstone South Africa’s marketing director, Trevor King.

King says the recognition for Caesarstone’s stand design increased exponentially after implementing this principle, but he cites team effort, months of preparation, and consulting expert designers as well as builders as other core elements to Caesarstone’s success.

Caesarstone’s 2015 exhibition stand design is an enchanting combination of stimulating design and the theatrical. Featuring an oversized, 9-metre-long kitchen island made entirely from the brand’s new Sleek Concrete off-polish surfaces, the stand combines cutting edge kitchen design trends and whimsical detailing.

Audible bird sounds contribute to the authentic conservatory look and feel of the space, while a Winnie the Pooh honey pot and innovative cut-outs in the surface for pot plants, fresh herbs and smaller holes for kitchen tools adorn the unique kitchen island.

Some of the kitchen design trends included in the stand are a transitional, industrial conservatory kitchen design style with a concrete-inspired focus, mixed metallic kitchen accessories, furniture-style cabinetry and personalised styling.

“We feel we’ve put together a really exciting and interactive stand that seems to draw people into the space”, says Caesarstone advertising manager, Lisa Aspeling. “With such an array of inspiring elements woven into the stand design, there’s definitely something for everyone”, Lisa adds.

Sian Steyn of Decorex South Africa points out that the judges award Caesarstone highly at every show because they immediately recognise the high standard and international quality of their stands.

“For those of us who’ve been lucky enough to travel to international decor and design shows, we know what is possible when it comes to creating exhibition stands. We also know how important it is to create a space that not only communicates the essence of a brand, but also engages with the exhibition audience. Caesarstone continues to raise the bar at the Decorex SA exhibitions with their exceptional stands”, she says.

Johandie Slabbert of Homemakers says that the Caesarstone stand stood head and shoulders above the rest: “It was inviting, innovative, fresh and made the beautiful product and brand come alive. The great lighting, inspiring display and the expert personnel on the stand were all contributing factors to the stand being awarded the Overall Exhibitor Stand of Excellence”.

Caesarstone’s award-winning stand will be showcased next at Decorex Johannesburg (6-10 August, Gallagher Estate), where Caesarstone is a co-headline sponsor of the show as well as the sponsor of the Creative Business Exchange.
