Caesarstone Wows Cape Town with Decorex “Collaborations” Stand

Known for their entertaining and design-forward stands, Caesarstone delighted Capetonians with their biggest expo stand yet.
Co-headline sponsor of Decorex, Caesarstone revealed their 72 square metre expo stand in a wintery Cape Town on the weekend. Themed Collaborations, the stand featured several prominent collaborations the brand has initiated with top design brands including Japanese design firm, Nendo, London-based designer, Philipe Malouin, and international design trendsetter, Tom Dixon.

“While we relish our collaborations with the biggest international designers, we also wanted to showcase a collaboration closer to home,” says Caesarstone South Africa’s marketing director Trevor King. While Caesarstone’s collaborations with designers yield exciting, new innovations in how Caesarstone surfaces are used and applied, King wanted to tap into the everyday collaboration between a homeowner and designer.

“We recognized the special relationship between interior designer Lyall Wilcox of Bristle et Hues and homeowner Diane Heron,” says King. “We felt it perfectly represented the kind of collaborative spirit that is behind the best designs, and you can really sense this when you see these two creatives together”. The Collaborations stand features a big-screen video about the pair’s working relationship, also showcasing the elegant interior they envisioned together.

While Collaborations was the inspiring story Caesarstone wanted to tell, their inventive product display left visitors breathless. The brand new Ultimo Collection of 13mm surfaces was displayed in application as a super-modern, 13mm kitchen countertop and sleek, bathroom wall cladding. Vivid White (1111), Fresh Concrete (4001, honed), Statutario Maximus (5031), and Linen (2230, honed) were on offer to inspire visitors’ design ideas. Also on display were 3 new additions to the Classico Collection: Wild Rice (4360), Tuscan Dawn (5104, Supernatural Collection) and Noble Grey (5211, Supernatural Collection).

“We’re always delighted to have Caesarstone on board with Decorex SA, and we love working with them as co-headline sponsors,” says Sian Gutstadt, portfolio director of Decorex SA. “They create on-trend, award-winning stands every year that never fail to create a design buzz for visitors and exhibitors alike, constantly inspiring us with their new product offerings”.

Caesarstone also partnered with several kitchen design companies including Spotlight, Holly Wood and Easylife Kitchens, supplying their Decorex stands with Caesarstone surfaces. The Win A Home TV show sported a beautiful Caesarstone kitchen featuring Statuario Maximus countertops and a Noble Grey coffee table, promoting the upcoming television series-come-competition.

Catch the Win A Home show on Afternoon Express, weekdays on SABC3 from 4 - 5pm.

Caesarstone’s Collaborations stand can be experienced at Decorex Johannesburg at Gallagher Convention Center from 5 to 9 August 2016.
