Most of the kitchen exhibitions that drew the crowds were those that exuded an inviting ambience through the clever use of personalised styling. While some designers created very professional and distinctly show-centric spaces, the most eye-catching or perhaps ‘heart-catching’ stands made visitors feel like they had stepped into a real person’s home. Vintage items were big, as well as unusual styling pieces with thought provoking sayings and quotes, or artwork that looked homemade and distinctly unprofessional all added wonderful warmth to each space. Walking through stands such as these was a real pleasure, essentially providing an emotional connection with each design.
